childhood unplugged october

October marks two years since Childhood Unplugged started and since I began photographing monthly adventures with my children.  What an incredible blessing this has been, I will be forever grateful for the collection of images that I have because of Childhood Unplugged.  And I am grateful for the friendships I have formed with the other members of CU - they push and inspire me each and every month!

This month we went on an adventure, instax in hand, and to be honest it was a bit of a mess... first stop was closed on sunday and the back-up plan was too, so we ended up in the parking lot taking pictures.  The boys LOVE this little camera and it is a treat to take the shots and shake until the image appears.  It is also an incredible test in patience as they each only get a few shots til the film runs out.  As I reflect on these monthly Childhood Unplugged shoots, I am so grateful for the experiences we've had and the images I have of my boys.  Even if it's an afternoon in a parking lot!
